Giacomo arrived in Queens, New York and after five years in New York, he was given the opportunity to start a restaurant in Charlotte and become part of Carlo’s Italian Restaurant. Throughout his twenty two years in Charlotte, Giacomo and his partners have had several restaurants. Becoming a part of the restaurant business is where Giacomo’s true passion for cooking and running a restaurant developed.
United to Giacomo’s restaurant and being a big part of this business, Salvatore Illiano came from his small town Torregaveta Province of Napoli, Italy to bring his cuisine of the crust of the pizza and the seasoning of the pastas to Charlotte. Salvatore, also an immigrant, came to the United States in 1987 and realized his American dream of becoming a restaurant owner while living 10+ years in the Concord, Kannapolis area (Romano’s Pizza). Joining their talent for the first time, they created this new setting for Italian food lovers.
Giacomo retired in 2012, allowing Salvatore and his Family to fully own Giacomo’s Italian Restaurant, thanking him for being a part of the many blessings that life has brought.
There are three secret ingredients that this restaurant has which not very many others have; a handful of love, a sprinkle of happiness, and a slice of gratefulness.
Thank You, Salvatore & Family.
